The kayak fisherman who chooses the Wilderness System's TARPON 140 over their best-selling TARPON 120 gains increased tracking efficiency courtesy of the similar but longer and narrower hull. There is also an 11kg increase in carrying capacity to 170kg. The TARPON 140 has the same generous cockpit length as the TARPON 120 which easily accommodates taller paddlers. Another point of difference is that the TARPON 140 comes equipped with a rudder whereas it is optional on the TARPON 120.
The hull design has delivered a kayak with excellent tracking and has retained enough stability to reassure the fisherman who is looking for a secure platform to fish from. The fit-out on the TARPON 140 ANGLER is identical to the 120 and the 160 - 2 x flushmount rod holders, 1 x 'Scotty' deckmount rod holder mounted on the Slidetrax system installed along each gunwhale, anchor with anchor rope, anchor trolley system, 2 x glove boxes, 2 x hatches, adjustable bungee over the rear well and a built-in & adjustable seating system. There is a range of optional extras for the TARPON ANGLER range of kayaks.
